Incumbents retain seats on City Council

SWARTZ CREEK — Incumbents C. David Hurt, Rae Lynn Hicks, Curtis A. Porath and Michael Shumaker all retained their seats on the City of Swartz Creek City Council after the Nov. 2 election.

Hurt, Hicks, Porath and Shumaker all were unchallenged in the election. Hurt, who received 98 percent of the votes, represents District 1. Hicks, who received 97 percent of the vote, represents District 2. Porath, who received 98 percent of the vote, represents District 3. Shumaker, who received 100 percent of the votes, represents District 4. Porath also currently serves as Mayor Pro-Tem. The council will elect a new member for the Mayor Pro=Tem position at a future meeting.
