GRAND BLANC — With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, Faith Lutheran Grand Blanc’s Women of Faith Ministries have planned a day for women of all ages to renew both their bodies and souls.

The retreat will feature a number of activities from a pilates class taught by an instructor from Genesys Regional Medical Center as well as yoga, massages, a pampering area and a workshop on relationships and the heart.

“There is a lot of education to this,” Event Coordinator Heidi Stoor said. “As much as it is physical, there is also a spiritual dimension as well. There will be group activities and then we will have breakout areas where people can go and do individual activities.”

Also on hand for the retreat will be guest speaker Cynthia Khan. Khan works closely with Immigrant Women in Dearborn and will be speaking about her relationships and providing guests with her insights into relationships with people from her culture and background.

The retreat is 9 a.m.- 2 p.m. Feb. 12 at Faith Lutheran, 12534 Holly Rd. Tickets are $8 in advance and include both breakfast and lunch. Tickets purchased at the door will be $10 and students will receive a $5 discount.
