Richard Abrams Richard Abrams SWARTZ CREEK — On Nov. 12, in an unanimous 7-0 vote, the Swartz Creek City Council elected David Krueger as the Mayor of Swartz Creek.

Before the city council voted, Abrams read a prepared statement saying he was not seeking another term as Mayor. However, in another unanimous 7-0 vote, the Swartz Creek City Council did elect Abrams as the Mayor Pro-Tem for the city.

Abrams has served 28 consecutive years on the Swartz Creek City Council, while Krueger has served for the past four years. Both councilmen were re-elected for another term on the Swartz Creek City Council at the Nov. 6 general election. — A.P.
