City Council approves appointments to local boards and commissions

SWARTZ CREEK — At its Nov. 26 meeting, the Swartz Creek City Council approved the Mayor and City Council appointments to several Swartz Creek boards and commissions.

For all appointments, the term expires on Nov. 10, 2014, unless otherwise noted.

Ray Thornton and Rick Clolinger were appointed to the FIre Board as city citizen representatives, while C. David Hurt was appointed to the Fire Board as a council representative.

Paul Bueche was appointed to the Planning Commission as an administrative officer, while C. David Hurt was appointed to the Planning Commission as a council representative.

John Gilbert was appointed to Metro Allicance as a council representative, and Ronald Schultz was appointed to Metro Alliance as a citizen representative.

The Park and Recreation Advisory Board, with terms expiring on December 31, 2015, saw several appointments. They were Pat Williams, Rodney Gardner, Michael Shumaker, Rick Henry, Ronald Schultz, Joe Perreault, Rae Lynn Hicks, Ray Thornton and James Florence. Edna Gilbert was appointed to the Park and Recereation Advisory Board as an alternate.

Rae Lynn Hicks was appointed as a FANG delegate, while Rick Clolinger was appointed as a FANG alternate.

Thomas Svrcek was appointed the WWS Representative delegate, while Paul Bueche was appointed the WWS Representative alternate.

Paul Bueche was appointed to the 911 Consortium, while Thomas Svrcek was appointed as the delegate to the Street Administrator, MPOTAC.

C. David Hurt was appointed to GAIN as a delegate, while Rick Clolinger was appointed as an alternate to GAIN.

The Construction Board of Appeals saw the appointments of three positions. They were Douglas Stephens, Michael Shumaker and Ronald Schultz.

David Krueger was appointed as the delegate to Small Cities, while Michael Shumaker was appointed the alternate to Small Cities.

Curt Porath was appointed to the Zoning Board of Appeals as a council representative, while Ronald Schultz and James Packer were appointed to the Zoning Board of Appeals as citizen representatives. Both the appointments of Shultz and Packer on the Zoning Board of Appeals have terms expiring on November 5, 2015.

David Krueger, Richard Abrams and C. David Hurt were appointed to the Shared Services Ad-Hoc Committee. — A.P.
