Festival Chairman Larry Bush said carnival receipts show 2016 was the second best year in Hometown Days history, or at least since he’s began tracking attendance in 2002. “I think our festival is established enough that people come out in spite of the weather to see what is out here. We have a lot of good stuff, so the people come out.” Bush is already looking for ideas for next year’s bash. Anyone who wants to add their two-cents should call 810- 348-7901. “I go to about 25 fairs per year looking for ideas,” said Bush. “I love this whole business, I guess.” Here are a few of the scenes from this year’s festival:
