‘Rogue One,’ ‘Fantastic Beasts’ part of summer movie series

SWARTZ CREEK – The Downtown Development Authority has released the coming attractions for this year’s Family Movie Night, and the play bill is designed for broader appeal.

In addition to the usual selection of movies for young children, some PG-13 entries were added to the lineup to attract families with older children, teens and couples.

The movie series kicks off at sundown Friday, June 9, with “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.”

The season continues on alternate Fridays through Aug. 18. Subsequent titles include “The LEGO Batman,” “The Legend of Tarzan,” “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them,” “Moana” and “The Secret Life of Pets.”

All movies are free at the open-air Pajtas Amphitheatre. – L.R.
