Area artist’s work part of ‘Magnificent Seven’

OWOSSO – Alicia Geromel of Swartz Creek is among seven artists whose work is featured in a new exhibit at the Shiawassee Arts Center.

Geromel, Anni Crouter of Flint, James Ames of Flint, Bill Anderson of Davison, Donna Kurtz of Flushing, Jim Legacy of Fenton and Sherry Nelson of Fenton are the “Magniticent Seven” whose work will be displayed through Aug. 8.

This show is sponsored by DayStarr Communications, Dick & Elaine Reynolds, Dr. Michael Schmidt and Clark Shanahan.

The Shiawassee Arts Center, 206 Curwood Castle Drive in Owosso, is open from noon to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and noon to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

The Arts Center features the artwork of local and statewide artists in eight galleries including the Frieseke Gallery, and a specialty gift shop. The public is welcome, there is no admission charge and the facility is handicap accessible.

SAC, which is celebrating its 45th anniversary in 2017, is a non-profit organization whose mission is to encourage participation in and appreciation of the arts.
