Friends of the Flint Public Library fall used book sale

FLINT -- The Friends of the Flint Public Library’s fall used book sale will take place from noon to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 18, and Thursday, Oct. 19, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 20, and Saturday, Oct. 21 at the Flint Public Library, Lower Level Meeting Room, 1026 E. Kearsley St., Flint.

Choose from thousands of paperback and hardbound books on hundreds of subjects. For movie lovers there’s a collection of videos and DVDs. Music lovers will find CDs, a large collection of vinyl records, cassettes, and 8-tracks. There’s also a limited selection of books on CD and tape. Most items are $1 or less. Appraised items are also available, appropriately priced.

There is a special preview sale for Friends of the Flint Public Library, from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 17. New members may join that night to take advantage of the preview sale.

There is a special sale from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday, Oct. 20, two paperbacks or two hardbound for the price of one. Saturday, Oct. 21, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., is Bag Sale Day—a bag of books for $5. (They provide the bags.)

Proceeds from the Friends of the Flint Public Library book sales benefit the programs and services of the Flint Public Library. For more information call the Friends at 810- 249-2578.
