Dragons get ready for rough soccer districts

Swartz Creek, 11-7, opens the tournament at home against Flushing, 6-12-1, with no official start time at the time of press. The winner of that match will take on Davison, 6-3-2, which has a firstround bye, on Thursday, Oct. 19 in the semifinal at 7 p.m. The Dragons have already seen Flushing once this season, defeating them 2-1 back on September 11.

Host Lapeer, 9-4-3, takes on Carman- Ainsworth, 2-8 at x p.m. on Monday, Oct. 16. The victor will face the winner of Grand Blanc, 9-7-1, versus Saginaw Arthur Hill, 2-11, in the other semifinal on October 19 at 5 p.m.

The district championship will be held on Saturday, Oct. 21 at 11 a.m. at Lapeer.

Swartz Creek finished the regular season 5-3 in the Flint Metro League in fourth place with 15 points. The Dragons most recently lost to Brandon 3-2 Monday night.
