Archers qualify for national competition

Photo provided SWARTZ CREEK – Swartz Creek Archery Team members will be among 14,600 students competing at the 2018 National Archery in the Schools (NASP®) Tournament in Louisville, Kentucky, today through Saturday.

Swartz Creek qualified for the Eastern National Team IBO (International Bowhunters Organization) 3D Challenge event and will have a 16-archer team representing Swartz Creek High School on May 10.

Junior Ashley Hense also qualified as an individual archer and will compete in the 2018 NASP® Eastern Individual Nationals on May 12.

Hense’s outstanding qualifying score of 284/300 at the Michigan NASP® State Tournament in March ranked her #8 for Michigan females. – L.R.
