The Dragons finished 12th with 325 in the girls’ race and 14th with 380 in the boys during the Bret Clements Bath Invitational Saturday.

Sarah Cook finished 53rd in 21:01.2 to lead the Lady Dragons. Darbey Johnson finished 69th in 21:26.5, Anna Alexander 77th in 21:46.5, Lily Majestic 79th in 21:51.1 and Brittany Devore 82nd in 22:01.5.

Cameron Smith led the boys’ team, finishing 16th in 16:33.6. Caleb Kawa was 86th in 18:10.8, Ryan Melen 105th in 19:05.1, Cameron Kruyer 106th in 19:05.7 and Noah Barney was 108th in 19:13.

Last Wednesday, the Dragons placed seventh with 160 on the boys’ side and fourth with 107 on the girls’ at the first Flint Metro League Jamboree at the Cummings Center.

Johnson led the girls’ team, placing 14th in 21:56.59. Cook was 16th in 22:00.89, DeVore 21st in 22:44.49, Majestic 31st in 23:07.56, and Alexander 36th in 23:49.07.

Smith finished fifth in 17:28.44 to lead the boys’ team. Kawa was 23rd in 18:52.7, Melen 44th in 19:47.06, Malachi Kingen 49th in 20:02.76, Barney 51st in 20:16.09 and Dillon Taubitz 62nd in 21:16.36.

Swartz Creek is at the 51st Annual Holly/Duane Raffin Festival of Races at Springfield Oaks County Park on Saturday. – A.V.

GOLF

The Lady Dragons placed ninth overall with 424 at the 41st Annual Davison Invitational. Fenton won with 351, Grand Blanc was the runner-up with 357 and Powers Catholic was third with 358.

Neeley Peterson paced Swartz Creek, carding a 91 and finishing 15th individually. Behind her was Emily Wilson with 96 in 24th, Abby Bielby with 116 in 48th and Paige Steele with 121 in 53rd.

SWIM AND DIVE

The Swartz Creek/Flushing swim team took a rare loss at home Tuesday, 103-83. They won the 200 freestyle relay with Delanie Moulton, Caitlynn Kruyer, Maddy Mckown and Maddie Kranz finishing in 1:55.42. Kranz was also second in the 100 butterfly in 1:10.16 and Moulton was second in the 100 freestyle in 1:04.42.

Paige Cram claimed second in the 200 freestyle in 2:26.92 and Kranz was second in the 50 freestyle in 27.54. – B.P.
