Golf Outings is provided by View Newspaper Group to give area service clubs, charitable organizations, non-profits, sports booster clubs and other civic and community organizations an opportunity to publicize their golf outings. If your group or club is hosting a golf outing to raise funds for a charitable or community cause, email your outing information to: avandaele@mihomepaper.com. SATURDAY, MAY 4

The Lapeer High School Football Golf Outing will be held May 4 at LAPEER COUNTRY CLUB. Shotgun start at 8 a.m. Entry fee is $100 per person or $400 per team, which includes 18 holes of golf with cart, lunch and skins. Prizes for longest drive and closest to the pin for men and women. No current students please. Please confirm your spot by April 29. First 36 paid-in-full teams. SATURDAY, MAY 11

The fifth annual Bendle Football golf outing will be held May 11 at THE JEWEL GOLF COURSE. Registration begins at 8 a.m. with a tee-off time of 9 a.m. Entry fee of $60 per person includes breakfast, green fees, cart, catered dinner, awards and door prizes. The Lapeer Optimist 44th annual Douglas Henley Memorial golf outing will he held May 11 at METAMORA GOLF AND COUNTRY CLUB. Start time of 9 a.m. Cost of $105 per golfer includes lunch and dinner. FRIDAY, MAY 17

The 33rd annual MPA Foundation Scholarship Golf Benefit will be held March 17 at LAKE FOREST GOLF CLUB in Ann Arbor. Registration at 10:30 a.m. with a shotgun start at noon. Early Birdie cost of $175 per golfer or $600 per foursome includes lunch, golf, reception, dinner, auction and prizes and awards. Golfers and teams must register before May 3 to receive Early Birdie prices, with cost jumping to $700 per foursome or $200 per golfer after May 3. The 2019 Greek Challenge Invitational will be held May 25 at BROOKWOOD GOLF COURSE. Shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. Entry fee of $75 per person includes 18 holes of golf and boxed lunch at the turn. You must pre-register for the $75 fee. On-site registration will cost $85 per golfer. Longest drive and closest to the pin. All proceeds will go toward the Memory Allen Wright Scholarship Fund. The Leader Fund Hole-in-One Par Three Shootout is scheduled for June 1 at METAMORA GOLF AND COUNTRY CLUB. Start times of 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. Cost of $100 per golfer. SUNDAY, JUNE 2

The Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 175 Genesee County’s 12th annual golf outing will be held June 2 at IMA BROOKWOOD GOLF CLUB. Registration begins at 8 a.m. with 9 a.m. shotgun start. Cost of $65 per player or $260 per team includes golf and continental breakfast. This is a four-person scramble. Closest to the pin, longest drive and other games announced the day of the outing. MONDAY, JUNE 3

Simpson Park Camp’s 17th annual Golf Marathon will be held June 3 at BURNING TREE GOLF AND COUNTRY CLUB. The field is limited to 25 golfers, who are responsible for raising pledges and then golfing as many holes as they can. The event kicks off wit ha 7 a.m. breakfast buffet with golf beginning around 7:45 a.m. A pick-up-and-run lunch will be from 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m. with dinner served at 5 p.m. Door prizes and awards.
