Davison High School named 219th in state by U.S. News

DAVISON — Davison High School has once again earned high national and metro-area rankings in the 2024 Best High Schools by U.S. News and World Report.

Davison High School ranked 219 in the state and 6,362 in the nation. Schools are ranked on their performance on state-required tests, graduation and how well they prepare students for college.

U.S. News and World Report ranks high schools across the country annually to give an unbiased look at how well schools serve their students.

The top-ranked schools have a high rate of students who scored above expectations in math and reading state assessments, passed an array of college-level exams, and graduated in four years.

DHS was also included on the list of America’s Best High Schools in 2020, 2021 and 2022.

“This is a direct reflection of the hard work that takes place every day in the classroom by our teachers, staff, administrators and students,” said Davison Superintendent Matt Lobban. “I am immensely proud of our staff for the important roles they play in not only engaging students in the learning process but also showing time and time again that they truly care about their learning and wellbeing.” — Courtesy of Davison Community Schools
