STERLING HEIGHTS — For a little bit of a girl, Jocelyn Morearty has big dreams and a big heart. The Cook Elementary student recently participated in the Inaugural Miss St. Jude Michigan Pageant in the Tiny Miss division (ages 4-6) with eight other girls and won
Queen, the top title.
According to her mom, Felicia, the pageant winners will be doing charity work and events together and Jocelyn would love to do more locally as well. Girls competed in Interview, Fun Fashion and Evening Gown. Jocelyn also presented information about The Positivity Project and the #OtherPeopleMatter programs in the school district.
The pageant raised money for St. Jude and the Couture For The Cure Foundation, Inc. Pageant Director Lynne Burke said the foundation founder is 10-year-old Peytyn Herron who had a dream to create the pageant and had a huge hand in organizing the event along with her 2nd annual Charity Fashion Show.
